an American fish in & out of Estonian waters

Side by Side

Lying side by side

face to face

you asleep

and I awake,

Our soft breaths

warm the air.

What you breathe out

I breathe in

into my soul

and back again

and with my breath

you do the same

and so

I know

we two

are one

not twain.
